How much of the wiring can you do yourself?

I just did a 1JZ swap, it's a pain.

Auto or manual transmission?  There's 3 sensors and 4 solenoids on the auto, so that's about 15 more wires, plus the neutral safety switch...

Is it the 1UZ harness you have or the SR5 harness?  and computer?

Since you have the whole harness and ecu to the 1uz, it sounds like you only need to add power, ground, fuel pump feedback, and tachometer wires to the existing harness.
Lots of power...
Ignition - turns on with the key
Batt- for computer's memory
STA - starter cranking signal
NSW - neutral safety switch

The 1UZ probably had a fuel pump ECU that gets a signal from the engine ECU.  The feedback from the fuel pump ECU to the main ECU is a +12 signal that means 'OK'.  Wire that to the Ignition power and it will work.

The sr5 tach will work on the IGF signal, if you 'float' it.  Jimmy can probably do that.

I got my mr2 pressure plate and sc300 clutch from horsepower freaks. Be sure you don't order an mr2 clutch disc. Has to match the transmission's input splines

What transmission are you going to use? W58= sc300, mk3 non turbo supra, is300, etc. Again you use the Mr2 pressure plate and clutch disk from a car matching your transmission. My setup is a heavy duty Mr2 ACT pressure plate with an sc300 ACT street disc.
