Technical / Sr20det swap question.
« on: June 21, 2018, 01:54:13 PM »
Hey guys, I just got my Sr wiring completed now I have some small stuff to figure out. In my research a while back, I remember coming across reading about using a throttle cable off of an older 240z. Any of you guys know which?

Also, I swapped the Sr into a SR5, did anyone here do the same? and did you use an electronic fuel pump?

So I ended up just buying the Megan  inner rods and replacement  outter rods. I was originally in the market for new outter rods becuase I smashed one while removing them but when I saw the price of stock rods at Autozone ($60+)  I figured I should just buy aftermarket ones. Well I found a good deal on Ultrarev.com $119 for Megan inners and replacement outters.
Installed them today and  drives alright. Now I just need an alignment  ;D

Right on. I'll be buying some here pretty soon. Maybe I'll take some pics  during the install to give you guys something to read  ;D  I should really start a build log tho.

I missed that disclaimer :-\ .  I haven't bought anything yet. Not without knowing what would work.
I have the stock power knuckles. Now, there's no disclaimer on the inner rods. That's what confuses me. I've left them an email but I figured I'd ask the forum for any feedback.

I recently swapped out my power steering rack for Mr2 manual rack.Anybody running these on their Mr2 manual rack? Their website doesn't say if they do but aren't the ae86 and aw11 manual racks the same?

Did you guys do the 89a from Prescott --> Flagstaff? That's my weekly drive  :D at least from cottonwood to Prescott. Really love it. To bad my Rolla is a sr5 but still fun.

You should cruise from Prescott up through the 89A to Sedona and all the way up to Flagstaff. Thats a nice mountain drive.

Just wondering if any of u guys have found lil posted notes on your car before saying "Bro, really luv your car. Interested in buying it call 1-900-sum-dude ask for Iggy"

Its funny I've had some kid wait an hour outside of a supermarket for me to come to my car and ask how much I would sell it for.

Any of you guys have any funny experiences?

I'm shooting for 200 whp on a turbo blue top build.  I've read a few threads about guys using the w58 since they blew through their t50. Since I have the w58 now, I'm just trying to figure if its worth the trouble.

A buddy of mine junked his Celica Supra so I grabbed the tranny off of him. Anyone here using a W58 on a 4age? What did you do to make it work? I've found on the interwebz a pricey adapter but that's about it.
