Dash Display not Working
« on: March 31, 2015, 10:35:16 AM »
I'm gonna sound like a total noob here, but I'm next to useless when it comes to electrical issues. I have a T100 collecting dust atm and NONE of the gauges on the dash are working. No speedo, no tach, no fuel. Nothing. Speedo and tach I can live without since I've been driving manual since, forever, but its kinda tough when you have no idea how much gas you have...plus, I've been trying to teach the old lady how to drive manual...so I kinda want to figure out how to fix this.

Try the fuses first?

Fusebox under the dash probably.

Does everything else work?

Define everything else? I have no dash lights a all. No clock. The radio works, though. Already looked into fuses, I'm thinking wiring or something else under the dash.

Headlights?  Turn Signals?  glove box light?  Dome light?

...other stuff that would be on the same fusible link.

If you had a bad fusible link, then stuff might not work even if the fuse is good.

I say replace the instrument cluster fuse anyway, even if it looks good.

Yeah, headlights etc are working, I'll switch that fuse out and see what happens.

I was just speaking with the previous owner and he says the dash display died at exactly the same time the A/C stopped working. Anybody hear of anything like that happening?
