Yeah I'm in Glendale, which In'n'out is it at? I might try and go, still don't know anyone here outside of co-workers, and my wife and kid are flying in next Friday, pretty excited about that.

Nevermind, now that I'm not on my phone I see the address on the rest of the photo that got chopped in half.

Hey I'll probably go if you guys do! probably won't be out too late though because work night, I'll leave the base around 7pm to avoid as much of the heat/sun as possible, so arrived maybe 7:30-7:45. Let me know!

No sorry, I meant it as a "it's a school night" type of thing...where you have class the next morning so don't be out too late...

I'll show up a little earlier then...

So this happened...from an 89 AE92, Bigport...oddly enough it has the conrod castings of the early bigport rods, but it's a 42/20 setup. I'm planning on taking the block and head to a machine shop to get everything checked out and measured...I was recommended to check out Auto Machine of Scottsdale, if anyone has any experience with them, good or bad let's hear it!

Then I found one of these ;) very clean too...

Started to clean a few things up I've been meaning to do for awhile...strut bar, spare valve covers, I VHT'd one set and took another set to Glendale Powdercoating, which turned out just how I wanted...

Fresh from the shop ;)

Put some elbow grease into these things on a slow night at work...used a file to gently scratch up the powder coat on the letters and finished it with some 80 grit sand paper all in one direction for an even looking finish...took me about 2.5 hours to finish both sides, some had to be sanded down more due to imperfections in the castings...very happy with the results

More to come...hopefully sooner rather than later

wow i gotta say those valve covers look great. I'm partial to the black set which is wrinkle finish right?
I have done a few covers myself but I'm cheap and poor so it was with spray paint. no powder coating for me.
