Looks like we got a deal. Will text you twin for more details. Mostly for paint prices as I have no idea how much that will cost at the moment.

well its been a while soooo.....

finally got off my ass and redid the paint cuz silver wasn't holding out like i wanted it to.might just have to pay good money and have that done right, BUT WHY? when i can go satin white? lol.

also installed a front lip along with new paint and got the bed looking better as well. the tank will be getting relocated as soon as i can find time. more concerned with the corolla at the moment but hopefully i can get some cash together and get the rear frame notched soon. solid rear makes things go all jiggly....

welp one weekend in my backyard i notice something missing, my rims (stolen).... so i had the thought of getting mad but instead turned it productive and made door cards for the truck and a headliner. headliner is most likely gonna get replaced but it served its purpose in understanding how to make one for this that will fit right.

door handles are getting put in later but that's how they fit at the moment.

now i just gotta figure what to do about the pillars but i have an idea.

anyone know how to remove the dash without taking out the windshield??? i have a uncut dash but cant get the old one out because of 4 bolts that are right against the windshield...

Time to refresh this thread!

Its been nearly 2 1/2 years since I let this go due to the birth of my son but im happy to say it is now back in my possession! Unfortunately I had to let go my most recent purchase, the 1978 Celica GT to get it back but I'm more then happy to have this back.

Only a few things have changed since passing through 3 other owners.

1. windows are tinted
2. factory intake air ducking has been added
3. dash foam has been added
4. lower ball joints have been replaced
5. steering wheel was replaced with another stock wheel which is actually slightly better so I'm ok with it.

Now that the updates are out of the way the one thing I found to be the funniest thing was the title. The guy i got it back from was definitely not who I sold it to and the description of who he got it from was also not the guy whom i sold it to. So from what I know this truck has passed through 3 owners until coming back to me. We shook hands traded titles and what do ya know... It is still in my name of all things.

I guess it was just meant to be...

Stolen?

How was the guy going to sell the truck without the title in his name?

You were the only person in the world who he could have sold it to without hassle.

I would have been like "Finally my truck has been recovered... the police will be here shortly to arrest you."

If the truck had been involved in an accident, you could be sued as the owner of the truck.

not stolen, sold...

And actually if the truck was in an accident I would not have been responsible. When the truck was sold a bill of sale was made and sent to the MVD releasing responsibility. Not to mention I did not know the title was still in my name until the end of the deal.

The guy I got it from was nice. besides he was not the original person I sold it to so whatever deal he made to get the truck was not my concern.

Also the title was still notarized. I know the notarized stamp only lasts for a certain amount of time but a lot of 3rd party locations don't care. I'm just happy I got the truck back.
