If you mention K&N I will drive up to UT just to slap you.
"I'm fat and he's Asian.  Crazy food is bound to come up in conversation."
      "wait, am I the Asian?!"
"yeah bro.  Yeah, I think so."
      "I'm white!"
"visually, yes.  But so is Takumi Fujiwara."

Yes....  You are an expert

lol. No, I wouldn't mention K&N. The Microgard has the least amount of pleats out of EVERY oil filter that I sell at O'Reilly. Wix ftw :) And it's only like 3 dollars more.

You're running a CHEAP car :P

Mine doesn't run yet. lol

I am well aware of the fact that your car does not run.
The cheap ass oil filter was purchased as a throw away.  After running the last event and then adding an oil cooler I threw on the cheapest oil filter I could find to drive around on for a few weeks then put on my usual Wix or Royal Purple filter.

Took apart my Hello Kitty horn button and sifted through Larks box of OG emblems for something to replace it with.  Finished product:

About time for an update:
Oil cooler is running great, noticed about a 30 degree drop in temp at the track, and coolant temp never goes above 185.
Full Prothane bushing kit made the car feel much more planted and stable.
Got a new set of engine bay brake lines from David, as mine were all bent to hell.  Went through and heat wrapped all the lines before install and swapped out the DOT3 for Motul 600 fluid.

Started a new job on December 3rd.  I'm still at the arena, but I am now in the Video side of Engineering.  I am in charge of all the scoring equipment, shot clocks, video walls, TV's, cable boxes, and referee mics.  The head of the department negotiated a $3.50/hr raise for me, and I will be getting a more steady flow of overtime.

Next up on the list of parts will be brake pads, front rotors and wheel bearings.  Followed by a dedicated set of track wheels and tires.

Disclaimer: if you dont know brendan, don't get all hyped on his 3.50 raise like he is a lucky baller and going to take off with his build. He is still under paid, just less underpaid haha.

I guess I will update this a little bit even though I have no pictures.
I bought another pair of Longchamps 15x7 +11 and mounted 195-50 Federal 595 Evo tires on them for the last track day.  They felt great compared to my super worn out 535s.
Before mounting the wheels I also ordered up a pair of Novustech 20mm hubcentric spacers to push them out.
On my second session of my 2nd day on East track, my brake master started to fail.  The pedal goes about 3/4 of the way to the floor before getting any pressure.  Ran 2 more sessions like that: SUPERLATEBRAKINGTECHNIQUE!!!!!
Parts needed before the next event:
Brake & clutch masters (already ordered)
Clutch slave
Brake pads (apparently Posi-quiet pads were not meant for the track :P)
Trans fluid
Motor oil
And then pay for registration :(

I may be doing that in the future.  We started budgeting for these first 4 months of the year as soon as they were on the schedule so it wasnt too bad.  And after the March event, I wont be hitting the track again till at least June.
