supercharged 2tc

Ok, I was planning on a draw through setup with my newly acquired supercharger... BUT the sc14 has a teflon coating on the rotors and the fuel will probably, eventually eat away at the teflon. I've searched online and have seen some draw through setups with these blowers with (supposedly) no issues. Does anyone have any experience with this? Or am I on my own? Lol.

Supercharged 2t... okay I am listening lol. I wouldnt have the fuel mixture through the charger sounds like it will mess it up. So where are you planning on mounting it?

Is there any problem with having the teflon come off? As long as they're not made 100% of teflon it should be ok. Engine might eat some teflon but come on, who hasn't eaten some teflon before lol

Mounting it where the a/c comp used to be... draw through set up has been done a jillion times so I don't think the a/f mixture will be messed up... I'm more concerned with the life of the blower more then anything one of my co-workers suggested running a lubricant like Marvel Mystery oil in my fuel system... not sure about all that though. I want cheap and simple (running 8 psi) that's why I DON'T want blow through set up.

Don't worry about it... Just do it.

Remember, you got the supercharger for free!!

It's not like it will be soaking in gas, I think engine heat should quickly dissipate any liquid droplets.  It should form a protective varnish coat after a while.

I was talking about the mixture eating the Teflon resulting in supercharger failure. But it was free so do it anyways  :P if its been done a bunch it probably works.

I think a 4 bbl would be way too big.

A supercharger can create plenty of intake manifold vacuum under the carb, so a huge carb is not really necessary.

At low/mid speeds your airflow would be too low to push fuel UP to the intake manifold.

Atomize better with a smaller carb, let the supercharger pull the air thru at high rpm.

My 2 cents.. Start with the STOCK carb, just bump fuel pressure up a few psi.

If your top end is weak, then upgrade.
