1990 toyota cressida
« on: December 26, 2013, 10:08:36 PM »
bought the car with:
z32 front 4 piston calipers
mk3 supra diff/lsd
jzx81 chaser front (missing the trim piece below the lights, half assed fenders)
nardi yachting steering wheel
leaky 1jzgte with r154 transmission
beat up 17x9 advan wheels

this heap is my daily, but i never leave anything alone

it currently needs a lot maintenance, and it all needs to be done when i can fit it or when i am not messing with the corolla.
it's gonna be boring for a bit.

just recently replaced both rear axles and rear bearings, it was so fun i didn't take pics.

the wiring job was a mess, i horrible horrible mess.
i guess the car was originally built in 2003.

so i guess there wasn't alot of info on the swap at that time., but whoever did the wiring liked to do extra work for some reason.
even tho the car runs fine, i decided to clean up the harness to make the car easier to work on.
here are the pics from todays fun.

pulled the intake manifold to make it easier to get to the harness rats nest.

this is the jdm harness which isn't too bad

here is half of the usdm harness that was hacked apart and repinned through a butchered ecu that had been turned into a jumper box

tomorrow, i will go through both harnesses and delete all the unnecessary wire and re pin it to get rid of the jumper box. super excited.

while the manifold is off, i am going to fix the haggard fuel line setup, make a braided clutch line and swap all the power steering lines to a/n with an alloy reservoir.

It takes a lot of wires to make a JZ run.

BL=Boost Logic ?     Probably not.

BL stand for Brian Lueck.
Aka the guy who started this website.. >_> (and jzxproject)
I think he started az240 as well. He is a computer guy, works for yahoo in Cali now.

I thought Gerald did a shitton of maintenance to it when he owned it? Even fixed the sunroof. I didn't read much of his jzxproject build.

Chassida.  sounds like something that stops you from getting laid.....
"I'm fat and he's Asian.  Crazy food is bound to come up in conversation."
      "wait, am I the Asian?!"
"yeah bro.  Yeah, I think so."
      "I'm white!"
"visually, yes.  But so is Takumi Fujiwara."

Yes....  You are an expert

dubsky, gerald upgraded the interior and fixed  a power steering line, he didn't really own the car long enough to do his usual battery of maintenance.
and i know who brian is, i am aware of the history of the car.

toywagon82, no

SidewaysEightSix, have you seen this heap, if i didn't have a girl already, this car would be like joining a monastery
