spare R154 has been rebuilt with all marlin crawler/driftmotion parts.
now all i need to do is pull the trans and swap the shifter/housing/bell housing. but first i need to decide whether or not to put a new clutch in. i have no more money available for the cressida at the moment due to all of it being funneled to the corolla.

pleasant surprise, it had an rps unsprung 6 puck clutch, it a lil beat, but still has some life.

put in a one piece driveshaft.


put a gtr lip on it, looked like shit, took it right off.



crazy white donavan sourced the trim that goes beneath the headlights for me



they'll stay red until the car is ready for paint.

way too far off for a final colour, but if i had to guess, respray in original blue or perhaps a dark silver

got off work a bit early today after spending the day in the freezing rain so i thought to myself, how can i ruin my day EVEN more?
the answer was obvious; go work on my cressida.
the plan was to replace the front crank seal, both cam seals, the cam cover gasket as well as change the timing belt and install a new crank position sensor.

i had planned this out well in advance and bought everything i needed...

except apparently i needed a crank pulley as well



the timing gear ibelt gear is fucked too, no pics of that tho.

the best part is that i was convinced that the front seal was knackered due to the amount of oil coming from the front, but to make the day eeeeeven better i was greeted with a perfectly dry front seal. my pan is just leaking horribly and the oil is wicking up the accumulated dirt on the front of the oil pump making it look like an oil trail.


at that point i decided that i no longer like cars. so i went home and hung out with my dog


who refused to hang out with me until i ordered a new fluid damper crank pulley and t-belt pulley

what a dick
